Smart water progress for Sensus

Xylem group company Sensus has announced two developments featuring its FlexNet communications system. It is integrating the ThingWorx Internet of Things platform into FlexNet, opening up the opportunity to provide IoT-based applications for smart cities, smart utilities and smart campuses. It has also announced that a smart water system incorporating FlexNet is now being used by the City of Monroe, Washington, USA.

ThingWorx is owned by US-based IoT technology company PTC. The collaboration between the two companies will allow Sensus to create new applications or extend existing ones for users of its FlexNet communications network.
