French water group Suez has launched Aquadvanced Urban Drainage to allow local authorities to monitor their sewer and stormwater networks in real time and so mitigate the risk of flooding and control the quality of discharges to the environment.

The public launch was announced with installation of the system underway in Singapore and with it already having been introduced in eight European cities, including Bordeaux, Marseille, Barcelona and the Paris conurbation. According to Suez, the introduction complements the existing smart drinking water network software, Aquadvanced Water Networks.
