French startup Magpie Polymers, which has developed a process for separating precious metals from wastewaters and process waters, has been acquired by Italmatch Chemicals.

Magpie offers polymers to selectively capture and retain metals such as platinum, palladium, silver and gold from industrial waters through a patented process. According to Italmatch, the acquisition allows it to expand its offering in the industrial water and process treatment field through an innovation focused on the high added value mining industry.
