Unified control for GEA centrifuges

  • Technology

German company GEA has announced that its new generation of controllers, GEA IO, has been revised and improved so that it can be used for all GEA centrifuges in all applications, a move to reduce complexity and focus on user-friendliness.

The company originally launched the controller in 2014 for use with its decanters. Extension to all the company’s separators and decanters brings a number of benefits, according to the company. The controller has been designed to be as intuitive as possible, and displays only what the user needs. The controller’s capabilities include interpretation of data, including energy consumption, performance and separation efficiency. The controller also features remote capability.
